We are given such small amount of of information about God and the afterlife when we are born. From then on, we are just going on what other people say. It's not until I stopped listening to others and just listened to myself did I truly find God. People are so confused and everybody is looking for something. If you get it right then you go to heaven. If you get it wrong than you pay the ultimate price.

I think that people make God into something he's not. Radical Christians use their religion as an excuse to hate or discriminate toward different people. Other people see this and think this is what God must be like and it makes them just not want to even around the thought of religion.

One of my biggest stumbling points with Christianity is the idea that accepting Jesus as the son of God is the way to go to heaven, above everything else.  I feel that there are way too many good people in the world that are not Christian, and the belief that they will not go to heaven doesnt work for me.  And I have yet to have someone explain to me how and why this is.

I am Christian, but the religion has absoulty nothing to do with getting to heaven. Its if you believe in God and Jesus, and you do your best to follow in their examples. Just pray to them, and ask for help and or forgiveness.

 We all make mistakes, we arn't perfect. We can never be perfect, not while we are on this Earth.

 'Gifted' living is something I do not have, I was blessed with book smarts and athletic abilty yes. But I have had my trials, and have more to come I am sure.
 For ex. My mother and father divorced before I was born. And I haven't seen my mother nor one of my three brothers in over six years.
 I was raped by one of my brothers repeatdly for an extended period of time.
 And, my father and I don't, get along very much.

  My family isn't all Christians, either, My father used to be a druggie, and my grandad did his share of front row sins.
 After nearly 11 years of my life, spending them praying over them, they finally started going to church and such.

 That is my opinion....and my experince.

Well the bible prooves that wrong, the bible says noone comes to the father but through the son. So theres no way you can live a good life ignoreing that fact that Jesus is Gods son and still make it into Heaven.
